Rima Truchanas

With a wealth of experience spanning individuals of all ages, Rima has been a dedicated guide on the journey to better health. From assisting growing children to supporting those gracefully embracing the aging process, her understanding of the value of good health has been enriched by her own life challenges.

Following a 15-year career in Outdoor and Environmental Education, coupled with extensive travels in Asia, Rima transitioned to the study of Chinese Medicine.

Since commencing clinical practice in 2000, she has consistently expanded her knowledge, focusing on diverse areas such as women’s health, respiratory conditions, pain relief, and providing allied support for oncology patients.

In 2010, Rima co-founded Healing Well, a multimodality health and wellbeing center in Castlemaine. The center’s commitment to excellence was recognized in 2017 when they received the Professional Services Award at the Mount Alexander Business Awards.

Rima’s extensive training in Chinese and Japanese medicine methods, including acupuncture and herbal medicine, forms the foundation of her practice.

“I’m inspired by an integrated approach to health and wellbeing. Together we can evaluate your health challenges and endeavour to restore optimal function, utilising Chinese and Japanese medicine methods of acupuncture and herbal medicine.”

Investigate your health potential, through professional assessment and insightful treatments.

Regular health checks and maintenance may improve your health trajectory and support you to thrive. Health issues can be complex and multilayered, so if required, we may collaborate with other health practitioners to support best patient outcomes.

Rima is nourished by Buddhism, Yoga, the Tao, adventures outdoors, gardening & creative dance. She enjoys daily bush walks with her dog on country.
